Cop Returns to Work with Felony Charges for Forging a Prescription for a Controlled Substance.

>>A Syracuse cop has returned to work, even though she still faces felony charges.

According to the Post Standard, Jocelyn Allbright was reinstated last month after being put on administrative leave in late August.

Allbright is accused of forging a prescription for Vicodin painkillers.

Syracuse police officials have not commented on her reinstatement.

Allbright is an 11-year veteran of the police department. Her case is pending in Hastings Town Court.
Why don’t they just skip court, she’s working again anyways. They should treat LEGIT PAINPATIENTS this way. I don’t know Allbright and what function she fulfills at the police department but how much pain do you think she was in for real when she forged that prescription?

Have you ever wondered how the pharmacist manages to read the doctor’s handwritten prescription? It must be an art! Seriously, how would you decipher “drug name 250 mg PO bid x 5 days?” To start, the first part of a prescription is the name of the drug; it can be a brand name or generic. The next part – “250 mg” denotes the strength of the drug – in this case two-hundred-fifty milligrams. “PO” means the medication is taken by mouth “bid” or twice a day. The ‘x’ indicates this prescription is taken for a period of 5 days.

Nebulizer use – part one Nebulizers are used to treat asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and other conditions where inhaled medicines are indicated. Nebulizers deliver a stream of medicated air to the lungs over a period of time. Assemble the nebulizer according to its instructions. Connect the hose to an air compressor.Fill the medicine cup with your prescription, according to the instructions.Attach the hose and mouthpiece to the medicine cup.Place the mouthpiece in your mouth. Breathe through your mouth until all the medicine is used, about 10-15 minutes. Some people use a nose clip to help them breathe only through the mouth. Some people prefer to use a mask.Wash the medicine cup and mouthpiece with water, and air-dry until your next treatment.

In the painful search for an explanation for the cause of the tragic death of the Princess of Wales, various and disparate reasons were offered, including paparazzi chasing, beside or in front of the car, photographers’ blinding lights, the excessive speed of the vehicle, and the lack of seat belts. In short, a possible combination of factors. As investigation of the matter proceeded, a clearer picture emerged, one hidden from view until blood tests were completed. The driver, Henri Paul, had been on three drugs, two of them prescription medications. One of those pharmaceuticals was a psychiatric drug already linked to more harmful reactions than any substance in the United States Food and Drug Administration’s adverse reaction reporting system. “A search for toxic chemicals in the blood revealed therapeutic levels of a medication whose active ingredient is fluoxetine,” the Paris prosecutor’s office stated. Fluoxetine is the main ingredient in the antidepressant Prozac.

Eligible medical care expenses include amounts paid for the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment or prevention of disease, and for treatments affecting any part or function of the body. The expenses must be primarily to alleviate or prevent a physical or mental defect or illness. Expenses for solely cosmetic reasons generally are not expenses for medical care and may not be eligible. Expenses that are merely beneficial to one’s general health are not expenses for medical care. In some cases, you may be asked to provide a letter of medical necessity from your attending physician to substantiate your claim.

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by high blood sugar (glucose) levels, which result from defects in insulin secretion, or action, or both. Diabetes mellitus, commonly referred to as diabetes (and in this article will be referred to as “diabetes”), was first identified as a disease associated with “sweet urine,” and excessive muscle loss in the ancient world. Elevated levels of blood glucose (hyperglycemia) lead to spillage of glucose into the urine, hence the term sweet urine. Normally, blood glucose levels are tightly controlled by insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreas. Insulin lowers the blood glucose level. When the blood glucose elevates (for example, after eating food), insulin is released from the pancreas to normalize the glucose level. In patients with diabetes, the absence or insufficient production of insulin causes hyperglycemia. Diabetes is a chronic medical condition, meaning although it can be controlled, it lasts a lifetime.

According to IRS Publication 502, medical expenses are the costs of diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease, and the costs for treatments affecting any part or function of the body. These include the costs of equipment, supplies, and diagnostic devices needed for these purposes. However, medical care expenses must be primarily to alleviate or prevent a physical or mental defect or illness. They do not include expenses that are merely beneficial to general health. When it comes to the tax treatment of over-the-counter items as medical expenses, the IRS rules do often seem confusing, complicated and contradictory.

Although most use medicine as directed, abuse of and addiction to prescription drugs and pain medications are public health problems for many Americans. However, addiction rarely occurs among those who use medicine as prescribed. The risk for addiction exists when drugs are used in ways other than as prescribed.

Prescription Medications: If you regularly take a prescription medication, you must bring enough with you for the semester as it is very difficult to obtain a refill in a foreign country. Foreign pharmacies will not honor a U.S. doctor’s prescription. As a back-up and/or if you must refill a prescription while abroad, ask your doctor to give you a generic breakdown (not just a generic name) of your prescription, so that you can refill your prescription overseas if necessary. When traveling, always keep your medication in the original containers and carry a letter from your doctor to present to customs officials

A man enters a bar and orders a drink. The bar has a robot bartender. The robot serves him a perfectly prepared cocktail, and then asks him, “What’s your IQ?” The man replies “150″ and the robot proceeds to make conversation about global warming factors, quantum physics and spirituality, biomimicry, environmental interconnectedness, string theory, nano-technology, and sexual proclivities.
