I was going through one of the threads and I just came to know that there exist doctors and pharmacies that do not have websites. is that really possible? if they really do not have a website, how do you come to know about them? how do the patients contact the doctors?

See, it is very simple. There may be doctors who have not bothered to have a website to reach out to people. medical shops may need to market online through websites. but, do a doctor need to? Not exactly. Again, it is also true that being a doctor in the 21st century and not having a website is strange. Though it is plausible that a doctor may not have a website, it is always suggested that you consult a doctor after browsing through his website.

hi vicodinrus, thank you for your clarifications. I was just wondering, being a doctor by profession, one may not think of having a website. he would have to buy a domain, write the content, get it designed and so on and on. Is a doctor going to take up all these hassles? Is he more into business? You can expect a clinic having a website. ti is their business. but do you always expect a doctor to have a website?

well, doctors may not bother to have a website of their own to promote themselves. But, is it too much to expect that they would have their personal blogs? doctors do have the time to blog. it may not be for some commercial purpose. But, blogging is not commercial. they can think about it. isn't it?

well, that's nicely clarified. you just hammered it into my head how having a website may be essential for a clinic but not for a doctor. I always used to doubt the doctors who do not have websites. I thought that they are not reputed enough. Thank you for all the labour you took to make it clear.
