I recently tried to refill my medication through fedex meds. I had my consultation last month. I then REALIZED that the prescription was made without ANY REFILLS! Yep, I paid my money for a consultation and ONE prescription with NO refills. I didn't realize that til refill time came around. Anyway, I first tried to contact Fedex meds without any success. That site wouldn't even allow me to sign in, then I called united rx...the pharmacy they use. They confirmed that I had NO REFILLS and they referred me to united-md (the people who hold on to your medical records and request a "physical exam request" form to be filled out by a doctor (which I have done in the past). THEY TOLD ME THAT FEDEX MEDS ARE NOW OUT OF BUSINESS!
Does anyone know what happened????? I'm very upset. I thought they were one OP I could count on.

What is up with Fedxmeds. I used them years, (2003) ago and they were extremely reliable. I notice that the site is up and running but i have also read that they have had issues the past few years and interestingly enough if i remember correctly they used to be a more favored consult by members of this forum, yet i can't even find a thread on them. Can someone let me know what's up, granted laws have changed, things have definetely become much tighter, so to speak. Whom is considered the most reliable phone consult these days? I feel like such a newbie. Help!

Many people seem to favor the NNCIP but the best choice as far as doctor consultation services goes really depends on where you live since the prescribing doctors need to be licensed in the same state as where the patient resides due to newly introduced and enforced U.S. law which further defines the requirements for a doctor-patient relationship as required before a prescription is considered 'legit'. If you browse through the US Phone Consult section within our members area you will come across quiet a few doctor referral websites that are still in business. Some will issue a script with refills and have you see the prescribing doctor every 4 months, while others prescribe the refills over the phone for up to a full year after the initial script has been issued. Pretty much all consultation services will schedule an initial face-to-face visit with the prescribing doctor which has become mandatory since the introduction of the Ryan Haight Act which became fully enforced in April of 2009. People have also reported on foreign pharmacy websites recently which ship high quality generic hydrocodone tablets without the need for a consultation with a prescribing doctor, nor for a prescription for that matter. Because this is obviously not the legal way to go about things I cannot recommend that you order from these outlets but if you are interested in the details I can provide you with additional information for educational purposes. So far as my experience goes with Fedxmeds, it was satisfying. and I didn't hear anything about this. I'd really like to know the bases on which Fedxmeds is supposed considered as out of business.

FedXmeds.com has been out of business for a long time. They closed their doors because they were not in compliance with new US laws and regulations. The reason as of why they kept their website up seems solely related to the traffic they are receiving there. Currently they are referring to another doctor referral service where chronic pain patients can get Hydrocodone containing prescription pain pills such as Vicodin, Norco and Lortab... I was read their FAQ at http://www.fedxmeds.com/FAQ.asp . The 2011 copyright notice on this page does make one wonder. Also, a three times $40 monthly payment for the consultation sounds like a great deal. I wonder what would happen if I just filled out and submitted the forms on their website? Did anyone try?
