I had a m/cycle accident July 31 1993... wasn't my fault- an old lady
pulled out in front of me (very common) Surgery went great- bolts &
screws & rods were installed in my leg to reconstruct my femur. Bone
grafting was done also. Excellent job! Great surgeon! After the first
year... the screws started backing out and the big bolt in my knee
started hurting! Much complaining later... he removed all the hard-
ware and seemed to be OK. But as time passed... it felt as if the bolt
was still there... hurting! Seeing the x-ray... I knew it wasn't, but
the pain was there as if it WAS! Years passed (with pain getting worse)
and visiting many doctors only administering mild painkillers and
charging much money, I'm now at the point where it effects my job!
Doctors tell me now I should change occupations! I've been a good
auto mechanic for close to 30 years! What could I possibly turn to now?
A friend had me try a couple of his painkillers (vicodin) and worked
remarkably well... getting me thru the day easily! Could my quest for
relief finally be at hand? Sounds too good to be true! :?:
