I too love horror movies. My husband and I always try to see the latest ones that come out. We rent a lot since we have kids and can't take them to see those kinds of movies however, my kids both love "Jaws" (I broke down one night and let them see it). If anyone has any other good horror movies please post them (I have seen all of the others mentioned except for the St. Francisville one) and also if you know of good horror books let me know since I am sort of a bookworm. I am sort of like Maty in that I am an Administrator by day and a horror fanatic by night.

Jenny - That book sounds like it may be pretty neat. I love a good book. My husband is constantly complaining because as soon as the kids are in bed I am in my rood reading. I spend a good portion of the weekend reading too but I am running out of authors (believe it or not) so and suggestions I would really appreciate. The only movies I will consider watching with my husband are horror movies. I absolutely love them. I know when I tell people at work about my love of horror movies they look at my like I am a freak or something but I just can't stay away from a good scare.

Oh Solara! Yes! Great movie. It kept me jumping out of my seat. Especially in the swimming pool..I knew it was coming, but still made me jump. Hallie Berry is a great actress. Babymomma

I'm so sorry, but I forgot to check on this thread till now.

Jen, yes, I've seen St. Francisville, but I did not think it was scary. Oh, I've also seen Gothica, and thought it was ok. I've seen just about all the scary movies out, but my favorites are psychological thrillers.
One I enjoyed, which you've probably seen, is Identity. Plus I really like John Cuisak (maybe wrong spelling?) in everything he is in. I also thought Ghostship was going to be dumb, but it was actually pretty good.
l'll try to post a list of some good ones when I think of them.

Maty!!...I forgot to pm you but i am doing it first thing after i send this post!!..But if you could..Tell us what all you and your hubby do as far as the ghost things at night?..Are you into the paranormal?..and what have you seen?..I love stories like this!!..Please let us in on some of the things you two do and what you have seen!!..Okay..i think it was cindy that sked this..but its actually for everyone..The book i was talking about is called "JAY'S JOURNAL"..if you do a search on the internet and type that in, as the keywords for a search it will come up..Yuo can also but it for 6.50..thats cheap!!..It will also tell you what the book is about rather then me explaining the whole thing..but people seem to have liked it..Has anyone here read it?..Ya know..at first i was told that he was being haunted by the paranormal..but after i read about it on the internet it says that he was a devil worship guy and into drugs i think...so that could explain some of the things he saw..lol..but the man who told me about it said that even though he was on drugs...you can help but believe that he was really seeing these things and that they were really happeneing to him..I think i am gonna go ahead and order it tomorrow so i will let you all know if its really worth watching..take care..jenn

Hi FRX family, one of my favorite movies is, "PAY IT FORWARD" with Helen Hunt and Kevin Spacey. It has something for everyone and it made me think about life and just how precious these moments of time really are. The longer I am with FRX the more I realize that the running theme for all of us is the way we take care of and treat people in need. If you haven't seen it, check it out. Another favorite movie is, "AS GOOD AS IT GETS" with Jack Nicholson, Greg Kinear and again, Helen Hunt. The dialogue is quick so I say it twice because I missed out on some things because I was laughing so much. I know you guys were talking about scary movies but they are too much for me. After all I am just a teddy bear.

Scary movies are too much for me too, Bear. My imagination runs wild and then I can't sleep at night if I watch one. But I have to admit I am a sucker for "Lord Of The Rings" movies. I can't help it. I know some of you are probably thinking, no way, too wierd. But I have to tell you all that I am officially in love with Viggo Mortensen. I am not one of the fans that goes to theatre as soon as the movie comes out. As a matter of fact I had never even heard of these movies until last winter when I was sick for 2 weeks with bronchitis and plurasy(can't spell either) But anyway I was laying around sick and they came on one of the movie channels on our cable. I couldn't get enough of them. I have watched them over and over. If any of you know how I can get in touch with Viggo please let me know. Thanks.

Hey Yvonne,
Loved the Lord of the Rings movies too! If you get a chance, though, go see them on the BIG screen. All the books are good too. I'm sure that there is a (or 100) websites for Lords. Maybe you could find a chat for Viggo there, who knows!
We watched a cute movie last night. "The Haunted Mansion" with Eddie Murphy. It's based on the ride at Disney World. Not really scary, but I enjoyed it.
Good Luck with Viggo!!! :)
Cindy

I know Mystic River got RAVE reviews........I couldn't understand it...It is a very dark movie with great acting, but Jheez!!!! I left the theater feeling emotionally drained. Hope you guys are prepared to get depressed.
