Shrimp Etouffee

Ingredients

2 pounds of shrimp
2 large onions
1 stalk celery
2 cloves garlic
2 small bell pepper, red and yellow
1 stick of butter
1 tbsp. flour
1 cup water
2 tbsps fresh parsley
2 tbsps chopped green onions
salt and cayenne pepper to taste
Procedure

Mince onions, celery, bell peppers and garlic. Saute minced vegetables in melted butter until soft and clear. Stir in flour. Add shrimp. Season with salt and pepper. Add one cup of hot water according to desired thickness of gravy. Let simmer in covered pot until shrimp are tender. Add parsley and green onions. Serve over rice.....

Serving Information

Serves: 6


I don't think there is anything you could do to shrimp to make it not taste good!
