Post subject: Having Trouble Getting My Records |
|
|
I just became a member last week, and I'm having some trouble getting my records from my doctor. He said it would take about 2 weeks to get them to me (I moved out of his area) and I am out of meds. I usually take Oxycodone, MS Contin, and Lortabs (not all at once). Anyway I am really starting to hurt bad, and it will take a while. Can anybody help me find a doctor/pharmacy who will work with me until I can get my records in a week or two? I need meds BAD! |

| Sorry to hear your situation Tk... I know what you are going thru sweetie. But unfortunately no legit place will give you meds until they review your medical records and then they still have to approve them.. You could try overseas, but that is also risky and shipment is usually 2-4 weeks- so by then you'd have your medical records anyways.. SOrry hun... I wish you the best and hope your records get to you sooner than 2 weeks... |

THEY HAVE TO GIVE YOU YOUR RECORDS. THIS IS THE LAW. I KNOW WHEN I GO TO MY DOC (which I will not have anymore after a couple of months due to COBRA crap it is so expensive...and getting laid off) I MAKE SURE I DO NOT FORGET TO HAVE THE NURSE OR EVEN THE DOC MAKE ME A COPY OF EVERYTHING THAT HE DID AND ALSO ALL I'M DIAGNOSED WITH! It seems eveytime I go in I get diagnosed with another pain filled autoimmune disorder! Then, the docs DO NOT AID ONE AS THEY SHOULD WITH PAIN ISSUES!
I went through not having my records for a while until I told them I knew that it was the law, so you shiould too. Now, they DO NOT mess with me and know I better get it if I ask.
By the way folks, I decided AFTER 10 years of this horrid Endometriosis Stage IV & Adenymiosis pain, I am getting the DREADED Hysterectomy even if I NEVER wanted to do it. I can't take this pain anymore:((( |

Good point Maty, also I always ask for a copy of my records when I see a doctor. This ensures that my personal file is always up to date which has proven a blessing more than once because I travel quiet often. I found that all of the consultation services that are found on the internet will currently request your medical records but there are some who don't enforce the face-to-face consultation even though they are supposed to. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so maybe you could PM me so we can exchange information? I don't think it would be smart posting this information as these places do claim on their website that they demand a f2f and I am pretty sure many people still depend on the existence of the consultation services like they used to be _________________ Maybe it's all in my head but it certainly hurts! |
