I haven't been on the site ffor awhile and am trying to catch up on all the posts I missed..which is why I had not posted about this earlier. I am SO sorry you have been not feeling very well lately! I sure hope you are feeling much better now -and please know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers. As soon as I read that you have been sick, I immediately said a prayer to the Lord asking for your complete recovery. Take care and may the Lord bless you and keep you.... Your friend, -Candle

By making it illegali to purchase prescriptions from Canada (that are SO much cheaper) will adversely affect senior citizens and all other citizens without health insurance. The money that could be saved by purhasing prescriptions from Canada would be a great help - and may make a difference between patients taking their much needed rx's such as heart and blood pressure meds)- and patients not being able to take their life saving rx's because they simply cannot afford the prices of them in the US. The mark up for prescriptions in the US is astronomical. Like everything else..it is about the almighty dollar...and it is sickening! I don't agree with one of their arguments about the drugs in Canada being of' lower quality' and substandard then the ones here in the US. Sorry, ..I just don't buy that part - it is all about lining pockets of those who don't care at all about the quality of health and lives for elderly and poor people here in the US..and it makes me SICK!! OK, I am stepping down from my soap box now.. Hope everyone is well here and staying pain free... -Candle ~ if God brings you to it, He will bring you through it~ Author: Ace Posted: Fri Jul 29, 2005 3:06 pm (GMT -5) Topic Replies: 21 Maty, isn't it amazing when someone is such a "lightweight" with meds? My mom had back surgery and the Dr was offering her the world; basically ANYTHING she wanted for pain, and she just hemmed and hawed (sp?) and said "Well, I don't know. . . everything just kind of makes me feel sick" I was screaming inside my head "MOM, TAKE ANYTHING, TAKE THEM ALL, FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!" , but I kept my mouth shut while he "talked her into" taking a scrip for Norco. I guess we are all in our own worlds, pain-wise, and one persons' solution is not another's! My husband makes me crazy, because any little thing knocks him out. I just wish that time could go backward, and I could either choose a different career (with less physical injuries) and/or knowing what I know now, could have worked "smarter". We'll have to keep supporting each other so we don't kill our men! Just say NO, Maty! Put down the pillow! P.S. Haven't found out anymore about anyone else's experience with Lunesta, nor have I had a chance to give it a try. I'll let you know. . . But I wasn't. If you notice I provide the manuafturer's information on every medication listed under the Medication thread. I do that for everyones sake and mostly for those who have never heard of the medication being discussed. And yes it would be just as easy for anyone to go and to the research themselves but I felt it was important to have the manufacturers nformation listed here if we were going to list their medication here. Sorry you don't seem to agree. But too much information is always better than not enough. I have no personal information on this medication and if I did, I would have addressed you with my response. I hope you get the responses you are looking for. Susie "Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity." Altering medical records is a felony and therefore the doctor's office was notified but the patient was also notified. Susie "Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity." So anyway, not sure if you've read other recent posts of mine, but I've been nursing him as he had surgery for a cyst on his butt. Long story, but YES, he took JUST ONE Vicodin, good god a 5/500 no less...and was FREAKING OUT! I mean like dead. INCREDIBLE! I could even try to flip him over like I sometimes do TO SHUT HIM UP A BIT! Ya know, he did tape record ME once casue he saidI snored also. Well, YUP, I guess I do a bit cause I heard myself...ever so softly, but I did snore like TWO TIMES ON IT! Author: loublue1 Subject: unknown package Posted: Thu Jul 28, 2005 9:50 am (GMT -5) Topic Replies: 4 I wouldn't only change pssword's, but if you posted your address or general vicinity of where you live, like we do on some forums, e-mail addressess can be hacked etc. Someone could be lurking, who live's in your area, take door tag's, follow tracking info. and ultimitly pick up at the HUB. Who know's if you really put some thought into all this, it could be done. I'm new to this board, but have lurked on other's for several years and I've heard some crazy stories. People sitting on particular streets and following the brown/fedex truck, going up to the truck with tracking # and m/o with correct amount and the courrier, released the package, not really his fault. Person would say things like "yea, I live right over there" In direction of the addresss intended. Since dealing with and finding my ONE beloved ROP, I have definetly heard some good stuff. True-who really know's, but your delivery-strange, strange indeed. K.. I might also add, too agree with the post, that some folks order from several Op's for different meds due to cost..... Author: loublue1 Subject: DD Posted: Thu Jul 28, 2005 9:37 am (GMT -5) Topic Replies: 29 susiecue, that's a very good suggestion and for the poster, sorry, bad with names, I admire your guts to anty up and admit what you've done, unaware you were doing wrong and doing your best to mend the problem-GOOD FOR YOU! Not many people would have done that. They'd have taken the med's and ran, saying nothing. I'm impressed with your honesty, really. K... Author: AngelMel Subject: United Rx's Dr. Reppy is back and has new OP! Posted: Thu Jul 28, 2005 8:33 am (GMT -5) Topic Replies: 0 Dr. Reppy who was the very nice doctor with United Rx now is back with his own OP. His office recently called me to let me know. If you have used them in the past and he has all of your info, then you don't need to resubmit everything. His new site is: www.university-md.com Angel Mel Author: Ace Posted: Wed Jul 27, 2005 2:06 pm (GMT -5) Topic Replies: 21 Maty, sent you a PM with more info, but just wanted to say something about not sleeping while "your man" is snoring up a storm. Let me first say that my husband is very handsome. It's not just my opinion, it's just seems to be a fact. For ten years, I hear every single, freaking day, about "how cute", "how handsome", "how nice your husband is", "how lucky you are" BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. Yes! He is all those things, but they also don't live with him. He is NOT PERFECT, and one of his major "issues" is he snores. He doesn't just snore, he SNORES!!! There's been many a night when I had to fight back the urge to smother him in his sleep. He is also a very heavy sleeper and never hears anything (the baby crying, the phone ringing, me screaming as I'm being assualted in the bed next to him. Okay, the last one hasn't happened, but it COULD!) If he ever takes anything at all for sleep, it just makes it that much worse. Once he hurt his neck, so had a neck collar on, had taken a REGULAR vicodin and one flexeril and the man was basically unconscious! I was so tempted to video him layed out on his back, mouth hanging wide open (there was possibly drool present; didn't care to confirm) and snoring so loud that my older son who is at the opposite end of our 3,000 sq foot house could hear him! I wanted to take that video and show all these women. . . THIS, THIS is him! Not the GQ guy in the suit that you see! Now, do you think I'm so "lucky"?! I am kidding (mostly). He IS a wonderful husband, father, etc. and I DO feel lucky to have him. . . .just not when he's snoring and I'm wide awake. It's like every "snore" says "I'm sleeping and you're not". Just wanted you to know that I understand how you feel!!! Will keep you updated on the Lunesta thing. As far as the PM (to Maty), if anyone else is interested in this med, I will post "openly" once I learn more about a potential source for it. Ace P.S. Maty Girl, I don't think I've ever seen that "potty mouth" out of you before! Believe me, though, I feel your pain!!
